International Guiding
Want to learn more about another culture? With 145 countries in the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS), there are many exciting opportunities for Girl Guides of Canada members to learn about or experience another culture and lifestyle. The Guiding program works hard to increase the cultural awareness of its members, making them a part of a larger, global community.

World Centres
There are four world centres operated by WAGGGs, which bring Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from all over the world together to learn about one another and their global community. The world centres are: Our Chalet (Adelboden, Switzerland), Pax Lodge (London, England), Our Cabana (Cuernavaca, Mexico) and Sangam (Pune, India). For more information, click here
World Thinking Day
On February 22 of each year, Girl Guides and Girl Scouts from around the world celebrate the birthdays of Lord and Lady Baden-Powell with activities that promote cultural education and global friendship. These activities could include international food and games, inviting an international visitor to speak about his or her country, or even experiencing another culture first-hand!
